I don't know enuff to answer you properly but I would guess no.

You'd be hitting it really hard and you'd probably still need 2 make up pre's at the end.

But what you could do is take line amps or board channels (using direct outs) or even 16 distressors and control the volume from there.

Kinda crazy but it would work.

I had the idea of using 16 PVC's (passive Volume Controllers) but I was told that they wouldn't work. It needs to be active.
