Which sounds better Logic or Nuendol

Which software sounds better when you print your audio throught great converters Logic 6 or Neuendo 2.

I hear great things about Nuendo. I have heard mixes that sound amzaing in Logic. I am seeing that a Lot of people in Nashville are getting Nuendo native systems instead of Protools. There must be something magical about the sound of Nuendo

Actually I should have beeen more specific. I would like to know about the sound quailty when you track into the program and also the quilty of the summing. I don't care about the features becuase all the programs have pretty much the same features give or take a little. The sound is the most important at the end of the day

The Nuendo summing is quite good. You can even open Cubase SX files in Nuendo. I haven't used Logic so I cannot comment on it. I work more on a creative/songwriting end so I use Cubase SX which seems to fit my work patterns.

Well it is still about what suits you best, the sound in the same class ;-).

What i dig about new NU2 and SX2 is complete latency compenzation. Now I can create mults as wild as I want without any thinking about latency. Recommended!

Yeah, the new Nuendo 2.1 is awesome! As for the sound quality, I don't think there is a huge difference. The difference between convertes are probably bigger than differences between DAW's.

I think both DAW's have a 32Bit floating mix bus (I know Nuendo has anyway) which is likely to sound better than a Pro Tools system that has a 24Bit fixed mix bus (overloads a LOT easier) when mixing inside the computer.

Just pick the one that suits the way you like to work.

From what i've heard, the only thing better than Nuendo's summing is Sampliltude/Sequoia. But differences in summing engines are pretty damned subtle.

OK, I record onto RADAR and use Cubase SX for additional tracks, basically, as well as midi stuff. Is there any reason for me to change Cubase to Nuendo?

Nuendo definitely has better summing. The best explanation I've heard is that they have incorporated an algorithm that in certain circumstances allows 5 plus 5 to equal 11.

there is really no difference if you ask me. they both have very good engines. i personally use Logic and I have a writing partner that uses Nuendo 2.1 and they both sound about the same. i think the that will really make the difference are the available converters. we have both produced remix and original stuff for big commercial artists to national adds. no one cares to a certain point to be honest as long as it doesn't sound like mud. the proof is in the product coming out of the DAW.
