Sorry, Meant Digi hd Accel Anyone using it? Anyone love or hate it? I have a mix plus system now. I have read all the differences between the systems. It will be a large upgrade and I am curious if anyone has made the switch and if they are hearing a"big" difference. Or a difference that would justify the move. Thanks, Keith |

With HD digi introduced a new line of interfaces far superior to the old line. That's where the most important improvement in sound is to be found ... not in the software or on the chips on the pci cards. The fact that the chips are more powerfull only allow a higher plugin count for the time being. The Accel chips have a bright future imo though what concerns sound. a new mixer engine could make use of that power .... soundwise spoken that is.

Hmmm, Have read lots of threads on the benefits on higher sampling rates, but I wonder if just upgrading to an apogee ad 8000 or something might be more wise for the money (I currently have 882/20 and 888/24). I hear that the mix bus is slightly different on the hd as well. Will have to do more research. Thanks, Keith |
