Thread Starter | 48k w/ full power UA pluds, or 96k w/ se UA plugs?
Up till now I have been recording at 48k. I have three UA cards and am able to get my mixing done pretty well with the full power plugs (LN). I was wondering if I might get better mixes with 96k and mixing with the lighter SE versions of the UA plugs. Any thoughts? I would try it myself but I don't have any full sessions in 96 laying around. |

my experience is that, regardless of sampling rate, the fewer the plugs i use, the better the whole mix sounds. that may have to do with the quality of plugs in general, it may have to do with the fact that less is more regardless of the process involved, and it may have to do with the fact that i use fewer plugs because the tracks were recorded better. it's probably all three. my vote is for finding a way to use less dsp overall. gregoire del ubk . |
