Thread Starter | boom clutch
Usually I am a good Finder. but I can no longer locate anyone who sells a boom clutch as a separate replacement part. I have bases, I have stands, I have boom arms, but many of my clutches are stripped out or otherwise pizzled. Once upon a time I used to see places sell the clutch only. Now an hour of googling and nothing. plenty of places are selling cheap boom stands or cheap boom arms with a clutch, but I already have nice steel stands and arms. tutt why do I have to buy a whole new stand when I just need the clutches I tried searching for "boom clutch" and "boom clamp" too. anybody got a source for these? |

thanks Pericles, unfortunately the clutch parts they have are for the vertical clutch - the only separate boom clutch they have is for the big booms. I have two of that size but I need the boom clutch for the regular size (stage?) mic stands. Besides, that bad boy clutch was $157.00 I know that I can get a clutch if I buy a boom arm with it, but dammit I already have plenty of boom arms. |

So you want the boom swivel? -- ![]() This place might get them: http://www.youdoitelectronics.com/id303.htm Don't know if you can buy just the clutch pads for those. Maybe call Atlas if that is what you need. Steve |

Try Black Audio Devices. They make after market parts for mic stands which are better than the OEM parts. I don't think there is a website, but you can Google and find a phone number. |

Wow. If that's true, it's a big loss.

Wes Dooley is usually a good source for some of these kinds of things, but I didn't see any on his website. Maybe give AEA a call. Steve |
