| Check http://www.tubestore.com/ for some excellent info. In fact, I plan to buy new tubes from them for my 1971 Super Lead soon. Andi

| Lord Valve The best tube pimp is Lord Valve of Denver, Colorado. He tells it like it is, good prices and good selection. He calls his business NBS Electronics (No Bull Shit). His web site is: lord-valve.freeyellow.com You can e-mail him at: LORD_VALVE@Prodigy.net Ask him to e-mail his price list. You can also call him to get his expert opinion. He can be a little gruff but that's part of the act. He's not as bad as the Soup Nazi on Seinfeld. In answer to your question, I'm thinking that Svetlana is the hot Marshall tube unless you can afford Mullards. |

| The Svetlanas are prolly your best bet (unless you wanna drop a bit more for Mullards or Siemens), just make sure you get NOS Svets (2001 or earlier) because the newer ones are made in a different factory and are not of the same quality.

| Groove tubes simply repackage tubes from other factories and cost about twice as much compared to factory direct prices. They do however have the quality control and you can choose how fast the power tubes break up (which is what the 1 - 10 rating is on the tubes). I've heard good things about lord valve though. |
