Brand New

........wow, i really enjoy the new "Brand New" Album: "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me". I love the overall sound of the record, very roomy drums and great guitar sounds.....finally an indie "EMO"- Band with an own sound......

Has any Gearslut participated in the making of the Album?

greetings

All I know is that it was recorder in Missisipi or Louisiana....They were pretty shady about the recording on their website !!

It was produced by Mike Sapone, I've emailed him to see if he'd like to comment about the record.

Hopefully, he will!

I've listened to the record a few times (just got it on Sunday), and I hear some crazy overdubs on the vocals. On some places, it sounds like at least 4 or 5 vocal tracks, and I'm just talking about the lead vocal. Maybe a couple of regular 'singing' vocal takes, then a couple of spoken/whispered takes.

Lots of cool production surprises, keeps you listening. Love the choir thing, too, totally caught me off guard!
