I read about this in Mix a lonnnnnng time ago. Anybody know more about this format/encoding process? Sounded fascinating, but quite vague. Holla?

What? It was a joke? I was wondering...it sounded so ridiculously vague to me, the way the article was written. I was like "well why don't you EXPLAIN this impossible sounding, mysterious format a little better?!?" Whoopsy |

They were describing the process of recording to tape and pretending it was a new breakthrough. "infinite sampling rate"... get it? Analog?

Yeah in fact the first letters of the firm or company that they said was working on it spelled out ANALOG. on a different note. Remember. analog starts with ANAL!!! |

hahahah yeah well what it sounded like to me was a way of encoding in the DIGITAL domain at a near infinite sample rate...which REALLY had me scratching my head. i can really be an airhead sometimes... e |
