"restart issue" roland rsp 550 efx

hi

I bought a used Roland rsp 550 efx prosessor from ebay.
There seems to be some issue with the unit.
It restarts all the time , and make some clicking noises. What kind of problem is it? Does it have a battery that needs to be replaced(like the spx 90)?

Yes, there is a battery in there and may need to be replaced. The reset procedure is:
Power on while holding PROGRAM/PAGE UP (^) and DOWN (v), then press WRITE
