Profire-I told you

I just got this mail from m-audio.Strange no-one else noticed this.Must be all units.

We just finished running those tests, and we were able to duplicate the issue you reported. We did notice that when playing a track from Pro Tools and recording it back in (Via an ADAT Loop), the new track was showing up about 150 samples earlier than the original file. Changing buffer sizes only made a slight difference, 10 samples or so (from 128 samples to 2048 samples buffer sizes).

We have logged this issue and escalated it to our software development team for further investigation.

...This happens because the drivers compensate for the delays they have in the conversion and any other process they may have inside the box. Once you go out and back in via ADAT thereīs no conversion delays but the driver still compensates for them because it doesnīt know if the audio is digital or not. It happens with RME and MOTU, etc. Iīm not saying itīs nice, just explaining itīs not really a bug... the only way to solve this IMO is to split the driver in two...one for analog I/O and the other for digital...maybe this lead to worse problems. BTW: why do you do that?...a bounce gives you the same results, or it should...
