RCC microplate spring reverb: thoughts?

RCC microplate spring reverb: thoughts?
I'd never heard of this verb but I got to try one a couple days ago and actually thought it was pretty cool!

I used it on a mix for a ska band, they wanted a really 50's sounding verb on the trumpet and I tried every reverb and wasn't quite getting what they were looking for.
Then I just decided to fire up the RCC microplate just for the hell of it and it nailed it right away. It made the whole track come alive, and on this session, for this song, nothing really came close.

I see they go really cheap on ebay and I was thinking I might pick one up but I can't seem to find any info on this company, does anyone have one of these? If so whaddaya think?

I don't have that specific unit, but I do have an old Fisher spring reverb that I restored, and it's gotta be one of my favorite pieces of gear. With new capacitors it runs pretty quiet & clean... when I can't put my finger on what a vocal track needs, it's usually a touch of that.
