I think it's a store given the number of monitors sitting in the back, they most likely don't want you sitting in that chair for 12hours...( if they take these kinds of measures it probably means the product is pretty cool)

It looks like one of those designer chairs that people pay a fortune for because they look "ssssssssooo stylish" and then when they actually sit on it they go " oh my god what have I done ??".

I have one of those chairs. they "bounce". they're really fun!
