mp3 upload: mastering house(fairman) versus home mastering

hi

i am actually finishing my album, but did not comfortable with the mastering
of the first tracks album, so i did one mastering myself and one from a very good
mastering studio. now i am not shure which version is better, can you guys download the files and tell me your opinion, they are very similar, but there is still
some differneces.
the music is kind of experimental music may remind to matmos
looking forward to hear your comments:
MySpace.com - Florian Fernbacher - Berlin, DE - Experimental / Electronica / Other - www.myspace.com/fernbacher

i literally can't stand the music, but i'd say b seems to sound a bit less harsh, although it could just be a volume change. my input is actually pretty worthless since i am not familiar with this music whatsoever...

Nice. Somebody buy this guy a beer, a chocolate chip cookie, and "the world's friendliest slut" trophy. Seriously bro, what is your problem?

i'll take the beer and cookies..
i was just trying to give the guy what i heard after a few listens to each copy. it was tough to hear a big difference since i'm not used to that kind of music. i imagine not a single person here would like any band i record, and i'm not gonna hold a grudge against them for it...

I thought treymonfauntre was being an ass about this, but.... I must admit, I was very tempted to press stop on the first 30 seconds of listening. The intro is rather chaotic and damn-near unbearable, but around the 1:17 mark, order gave way to rhythm and my emotions shifted. It wasnt enough to win me over as a fan but it's an over-all nice song. On to the main point though. I think version B is much more pleasing to the ear and I'm not sure if it's because I was already broken into the sound by the first version, but I found the intro to version B to be a little more tolerable than A. Nice work.

hi 3rdeyeknight

thanks for your input and listenings to both tracks, i know that this track is kind of stressy, but i did not recognize, that the first minute is so chaotic or even unbearable to listen
but in the end, yes i will go with the second version
it sounds more pleasant
