If you've noticed, Google is paying all the big labels some big bucks to pretty much give their stuff away on youtube...

What if Microsoft or Google really got into bed with the labels and just decided to give them a mega deal so they could just sell a billion zunes or whatever. I mean, microsoft could easily cut the labels a check bigger than all the revenue they make at the itunes store in the course of a year. If it ever comes to that, I don't even know what effect that would have on the industry.

They'd still complain that people weren't buying enough albums, but at least they'd be able to get that fourth Rolls.
