| Studio wall building, need your help. Hi dear friends, im building an small mix room and rest 1 wall to build. Should i build that wall concave, convex [ fig1 or 2 ] or just "standard" . What i will earn "sonically", i mean, flutter echoes, standing waves, blah blah blah or should i build standard wall and control all acoustic inside too and forget concave thing? The 3 walls done size is 6metersx3metersx3meters! My drawing is rustic, just for ilustrate reality. No, im not drunk. Thanks for advices. ![]()

| hi dont mind the cynics ...im one too:) you dont want concave or convex walls, the walls should be non parallel i.e. skewed flutter echoes mostly come from the ceilings where the walls join...make the angles as wide as possible ,that is +90 as opposed to minus 90 search here for posts before you ask or you are gonna get shot down....good luck ...hugs an kisses :)

Thanks Bassace, you right. Open angles in corners more easy to build too. I did forget "concave thing" because now i see will not bring advantage. Ok. Kisses for you too.

| You probably don't want a concave (fig 2.) wall since a concave surface direct all reflections to one point. |
