Epiphone Valve Jr Head Mod.

I just got a new Epiphone Valve Jr head and love it. Running into a 2x12" Traynor cab with Greenbacks. Anyways. There are lots of mods out there for this amp, does anyone have any experience with them?

Far too many to comment. Try www.sewatt.com (I think that's the page...been a while). Lot's of info there towards all types of single ended tube amps.

I did the Bitmo Trio mod - I believe it's available on eBay - and was definitely happy with the results. I changed a cap or two and also swapped in a NOS RCA 5751 to dial the gain back a bit, and it sounds way beyond its price and dare I say boutiquey. I will say the three different voicings actually just feel like different gain settings, but the tone knob adds a lot of versatility.

Cool I will have to check that out. I am going to change out the Chinese tube with a Russian Mesa tube today I think.

That's a great site. I will have to check it out. Perhaps when I have a couple days off I will rebuild that amp! Thanks!
