Using a rack mount reverb with a guitar amp, proper hookup

My TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb pedal bit the dust and I need some reverb so pulled out my Yamaha REV500 rack unit.

Wondering what the proper way to hook this up is?

I can slap it together..in from guitar-out to amp, but i know im dealing with Line and Impedance mismatches..can anyone guide me here?

Thanks

Pete

What amp? Do you have an FX loop?

tfBattag,

Thanks for responding. It's an older Z, 18 watt straight up combo, no FX loop.

That's a pic of mine. I was using it for outboard 'line level' reverb as well. PM me if interested. Been stored away for months. Bought it brand new.

Hoping for some more input..

Proper hook ups for a rack mount reverb into a guitar amp..no effects loop on the amplifier.

if it's possible without going to outer space.

Guitar(instrument level) >> Yamaha REV500 reverb (line level in line level out)>>Guitar amp (expecting low level high imedance signal)>>>Neighbor's ears>>>Cops.

You can also get an inexpensive DI box & re-amp device from Rapco Horizon. I have a re-amp and it works great. I think I paid like $15.

The RapcoHorizon Company - BLOX
