What happened to my loop?!

So, yesterday I was messing about with the Sound on Sound feature on my DD20. Managed to get a really dreamy loop going using a vibrato pedal and holy grail. I got distracted by something and left it on by accident. Just came back today and it sounds absolutely incredible, like the loop is dying. Is there a fuzz pedal or something along those lines I can buy that will replicate the sound? Thanks

Actually, you are probably hearing the decay in digital resolution. I suppose any pedal that reduces the bit depth of your signal would do something like that.

Or perhaps a lo-fi digital delay without much bit depth could do something similar (although only to the delayed signal). Line6 have got a delay that does that.
