ZVex pedals don't have the patented Digitech AudioDNA™ Super Chip. There's no way they could be as good as the Digitech stuff.

I worked for Guitar Center for about a month. I was between jobs and needed to eat. I couldn't stand half the know-it-alls out there who clearly knew more about fashion, tattoos, and body-piercing than music gear. A few guys knew their stuff. But they weren't the top sales people and didn't call everyone "brah".

Moral of the story, use the GC employees as cashiers only. Do your own research. Or better yet, don't buy from a large chain store and expect to get the service you'd find from a local owner/operator type of shop.

Guitar Amps just kinda stink too. Just play your electric guitar acoustically. Thats the key to great tone.LOL

As far as boutique pedals go, zvex is crap...
But what the hell would prompt him to compare them to digitech crap, I can't even fathom.

Your skill on guitar is directly proportional to the length of your hair.

To move product, plain and simple.

When I was shopping for a new clean amp at Mars Music several years back, this old hippie saleman (who was cool to talk to after we got past his sales BS) started out telling me that if he were to buy a new amp, one of the best ones out was the Behringer Blue Devil combo.
