Lower volume when using stomp pedals

Hey,

I'm using a Marshall JCM 800 2204 MKII '88 50 watt head with a 1960 lead 300w box, great amplifier !

Through that I play a PRS Custom 22 '00 with 3 pedals. I'm using a homemade board for the pedals.

The pedals are, sorted from the first pedal (from the guitar) to the last (out to the amp), 1. Crybaby wahwah, 2. Digitech Tone Driver Overdrive and 3. Boss Mega Distortion

Between the first pedal and the guitar I'm using a wireless transmitter (but that shouldn't be the case..

Now, when I play clean (that is, without the pedals running) it sounds loud and nice but when I use one or two distortions at once, the volume isn't as loud (though both the level knobs are maxed out, and I know for sure that they arent broken or anything)

May the problem be the order of the pedals or do you guys have any theories ?

All help would be very much appreciated !!

Thanks

I bet you it's the wireless. Those stompboxes together should be able to create more than enough gain.

Have you got the voltage right with your pedalboard?

I don't think it's the wireless. I do have the right voltage for the pedals. The boss has a compatible boss power adaptor but the digitech doesn't have one it has just some 9v power adaptor I found at home... could that be the problem ?

If the digitech is a digital (modelling) pedaly, that could be your problem... My bass player had a digitech bass synth which he ditched because of that.

The analogman site has a Q & A which covers that issue with pedals.
