• I wrap a Rodes in a sock around the body of the mic and jam it in the bridge of the Bass facing away from the body. Make sure the Rodes Large diaphram mic eq is flat and is in Omni.
•*Then Grab a TLM 103 and face it 2-3 feet away facing the f-hole. Run these mics into some decent tube pres
• With this chain there is no need for EQ. Maybe a little compression. EQ usually messes up Bass and can change the notes of it. You have to be careful what freq. you are boosting or attenuating, you could be boosting the wrong note. Or taking away the right note.
EX: 123.47hz is the note B2 and so on.
