Tips & Techniques:Upright Bass II

This is not my origional idea at all but it works great anyway.

For good bluegrass THUMP, take an SM57, wrap it in a small towel or washcloth, then wedge it sideways under the strings between the tailpiece and the bridge. Augment that with your favorite bass mic and blend to taste.

Thump, Thump Thump, Thump. thumbsup
