Tips & Techniques:Elec GTR - Tracking thick downtuned El. Guitars

I've spent kinda long time to try to out on tape in the right way the sound of my distorted, downtuned guitars; the problem has always been: listening baritone babies with 0.70 gauge strings coming out of a oversized cabinet wasn't the same that listening the thin sound that so often is the recording.
So, if you want to have THAT thick gtr sound, i found really helpfull to put a SubKick (Yamaha) in front of one of the cone (1-2") along with a 421 and/or the classic SM57. It does sound easy but it works
You'll have all the bottom end you'll need, clear and solid.
