| Klein & Hummel O300 Let me start with a clear statement: Those monitors are amazing!
As I got a room at my flat treated to be able to do some work from home and saw really great results I thought to my self: "Why don't I get better monitors?!?".
I called up my dealer and he told me straight away that in my budget range there'd be nothing better than those monitors...
I really do trust him and so i got them!
I gotta say there's really nearly no learning curve on them because they are just straight up honest! What you hear is what you get.
The O300 are a three way system and there fore really detailed in the mids and very "clinical" but still fun. There -3 dB free field frequency response goes from 35 Hz - 24 kHz, with only ± 3 dB!
It's not the loudest system on earth (the max SPL with pink noise is around 94dB at 2.3m distance) but for the average mixing purpose they are more than loud enough!
Since they don't have any bass reflex wholes they give u a really detailed low end and I don't feel like theres a need for a subwoofer in a smaller room like mine...
The speakers have a equalizer section on their back to adjust to the room which is helpful but could use switchable center frequencies for a monitor of this price rang.
What could be considered another Problem is, that the speakers integrated Limiter is starting to work pretty quick when turning them up louder.
I myself couldn't find a big change in sound but some people might and would feel like this is a bummer.
This only applies to very bass heavy stuff like EDM or Hip Hop so it doesn't really apply for the more audiophile genres.
Still all in all these are the best speakers I've heard in this price range and I can recommend them without doubt.
