I can hardly believe that the plug ins from Variety of Sound are free! This one, The Density mkII, has shown qualities that, for me, aligns it with my 100+$ plug-ins.

During the mastering of my new album I had problems
with a particular track full of contrast and variety.
None of my compressors seemed to be able to span
the diverse range of dynamics, except for one: The Density mkII.
This compressor did the job to absolute perfection on that particular track!
Ofcause Density mkII was not the sole solution to other tracks. But its qualities are clear.

I think the Mk1 is/was/has much better sound...
unique...

the Mk2 is just the common sound....

this is the perfect example how evolution is not evolution...
others are LoudMAX 1.09 vs. latest version...

i was very disappointed to hear the sound was gone with the Mk2.
"Density version 1 is now discontinued."
