| Fednder Twin Ultrs Chorus PR 204 This is an early 90's solid state fender twin.
I prefer tube amps, but as solid state goes this is not a bad amp
65 watts a side 65W R.M.S. per channel = 130W R.M.S.
it is plenty loud but how does it sound?
well i like the speakers better then ptreamp.
the distortion is useless, yes useless.
Well for me , i can't get it do anything i like.
I do like its clean sound or coupled with pedals it has a tone towardsa grey neutral some hint of cheap parts but not such that it actually ounds bad just hints of distortion to the signal that are very this amp for lack of better desciption of sound.
Coupled with pedals i have acheieved sounds I like.
at louder volume you can get some really growl and power .
The effects loop I honestly have not employed
the spring reverb is ok , its not a princeton .
I like this amp for what it is , I have had it forever it is nothing to aspire to but with the right gear it can do great .
The twin speakers i like micing them you can get some neat pushing puling from the sound depending on placement
It is funny to me that chorus is its namesake nothing to write home about its a chorus.....
the pots could use some deoxit but still respond to twisty time.
Im used to it its loud enough for a drummer and there are much better, but its clean enough with the proper pedals it can produce what you want and its speakers sound good. |
