Congratulations!

I think you shared this before but why not provide some session info in this thread since it is quite topical.

You got to work with some truly great musicians. Serkin is a powerhouse and a real champion of Lieberson's. I saw him perform one of the piano concertos with the BSO back in the 90s. Good stuff. It's always great to see wonderful musicians who keep the "tradition" alive and champion new music get such recognition.

I also believe Mr Bishop of Telarc, who frequents these boards, has been nominated for his work on the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra recording of Britten and Elgar.

Kudos to all .... thumbsup

Just finished listening to this disc for the first time. Sounds great! Excellent job, Plush! (Of course, it doesn't hurt to have Peter Serkin and Lorraine Hunt Lieberson as your musicians, either....) Oh, and the music is quite good too. (I've been a big admirer of both Rilke and Lieberson for years, so I was pretty keen to check this out.)

This is a great recording - very well done, it's just arrived from Amazon. How did you approach mic placement (esp. as this was a live gig)? I'd be really interested to hear some info on the session - did you use the DAV mic pres you love so much? Cheers!
