Question portable monitors for mixing quickly on location

Your client wants a mix that day. You are in a different city.
You won't be giving a finished mix, but good enough to represent your day.
Does this just sound ridiculous?
Any suggestions on light monitors , that adapt well to less than adequate rooms?
Or, are the best headphones more in line?
If so , what headphones would you recommend for classical , folk and jazz?
ex. GRADO RS-1

I've been using Sony MDR V6s for so long I wouldn't hestitate to mix on them in a pinch. Familiarity is your friend. Better is better of course but something you know is a good start!

I usually check my mixes on the senn HD600 or the Beyer DT770 Pro. I think any phone that you know well would work.

Thank you for replies.
I will use my AKG's and try my best.
I have AKG 240 and also sennheiser hd 280. Should I upgrade here?
I was thinking of getting AKG 271. Is Akg K 701 overkill?
I am saying AKG because they are soo comfortable on my big head.
Don, I like your equip. I use re-15's. Very cool mics.(especially on amps.)

Hey MattJazz,
For classical, folk, jazz, acoustic musics I'd go with the Grado's every single time. I love 'em.

Dave.
