Question Ribbon mic storage for mobile rig

Yello -

I'll be travelling with all of my gear for an indefinite time. Among that gear is a small ribbon microphone that's old. I'm trying to come up with a solid way to transport this mic along with my others so as to minimize potential damage to the ribbon.

I've been thinking of taking one of them "pillow pouches" for glass pipes and finding a camera lens case that fits it well. Find a spot for that that lends itself to being kept in an upright position.

I'm concerned with the wind created as air escapes while 'stuffing' the mic into the pouch. Any opinions? Perhaps a standard foam setup would be better?

Thanks for any input you filthy slutz.

probably not, but i'm not sure if anybody knows what to suggest as we haven't seen this alleged mic and it could look like/be shaped like who-knows-what and we have no idea what else you're dragging around/where it could be stuffed. if it doesn't have a real case of its own, then what you described sounds good.

One of the important things to do is to seal it from air particles.
Depending on the strength of the magnet metal particles could be attracted to the microphone.
