Well, I'll jump in. I was up in the bells after retrieving our mics. Had forgotten that there was a tour of the carillon after the perfomance. Low and behold, CLANG CLANG CLANG goes the bells all of 2 inches form my ears. OUCH!!!

Didn't know the tour consisted of wailing on the bells

I forgot about that. We should have asked for hazard pay.

wow --- hazard pay indeed.

Last month I did a recording of a very powerful organ here in town and I beliieve it was the Langlais Te Deum that was really really loud - but.... for the past five years I wear earplugs when I record an organ - that really has made a big difference after the session.
