The box has been around in various versions for a couple of years now. I think Sony is actually taking the first 50 or so of them. Maybe it will actually see the light of day this year.

sony getting myteck dsd stereo master recorder? hmm...why sony, the inventor of dsd buying other people dsd product? i believe sony has their own propritary dsd encoder and decoder. the only dsd recorder that i know of which is available to public is the tascam "modified 8 track' recorder. i know sadie has a sacd/dsd stereo track editor. this mytek sure looks interesting...hook up an scsi drive to it, then you can mixdown to dsd format...
