| limiter for live to two track I'm looking for info on decent 2 channel limiters to be before the AD conversion and CD burner going live to disk. I'd like it to be clean and without much coloration of course. Around $300-500 would be great. Thanks... |

| Gear maniac | The only thing that comes to mind that is a) two tracks b) can perform limiting c) fits in that price range d) sounds clean/clear is the FMR RNC-1773 "really nice compressor". The unit is unbalanced though, this may or may not be an issue for you. It sounds and performs great for this purpose and in the price range. It uses a wall wart to avoid having an internal power supply (keeps the cost down), but it's nice and clean - and it's "super nice mode" basically re-lays the compressed singal through the compression circuit - similar to the effect of running two compressors in series. I know alot of cats that do that all the time. There are some people around these parts that could get you one shortly for the going rate, which doesnt really fluxtuate much. Anyone dare to suggest something like a Drawmer instead? I know somone wants to say just find a 3630, come on man do it.
