Suggestions for cool looking live mic

Hey fellow sluts,

I'm looking for a cool looking and good sounding mic for live performances sub US$550/€440, any suggestions? Something that will stand out from the rest of the 'average' looking mics

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about the mic as much...the audience won't notice anyway. If you want "flash", then go for a custom mic stand. Remember the swivel stand that Julian Cope used a few years back? The one he'd climb on and lean over the crowd. That's cool. Or the chain look stand that W.A.S.P used. Gotta love Blackie....

later,

Found this site, some of the mics are really cool looking, perhaps I can find something there?!

Its probably not what you were thinking, but it does the trick for a few of my clients who want to get laid after the show, just for... "Looking so Cool"

How about the Electro Voice/Blue Cardinal or Raven?

This is the Cardinal, a cardiod condenser:

The Raven is the same mic but black and dynamic.

They look pretty cool and I hear they sound pretty cool too.

I believe they map at $199 and $149 USD respectively.
