Thumbs up We have won an award from Gramophone

On Thursday the British classical music magazine, Gramophone, announced their awards for classical music. New this year were awards for specifically American music releases.

We won!

Lieberson: "Rilke Songs" on Bridge records.

Lorraine Hunt Lieberson, mezzo soprano
Peter Serkin, piano

I am the producer and engineer for this recording.

Only three American records were honored.

All mics used DAV Electronics BG No. 1 mic amps.

Plush,

Gramophone is very respected here in the UK. That is indeed a great achievement. Well Done.

Congrats! It's good to hear that classical is still in the public eye. It's a small world - I'm recording Peter Serkin tonight in a live performance of the Brahms 2nd Piano Concerto.

Plushy, an outstanding achievement. Will try and order a copy and see what all the fuss is about. Her voice and artistry were untouchable, its a shame she has gone.
