As some of you folks already know, I recorded, engineered and mixed this awesome record. I would also like to say how much of an excellent time I had working with Odean, especially during the mix session at my place. He's a humble, unassuming man with wonderful thoughts and ideas. IMO he's very deserving of this kudos. Guest saxophone players included Michael Brecker, James Carter and Joe Lovano. Odean Pope was part of a Philly band in the 70's called Catalyst on Muse Records. They were also Pat Martino's backup band. I studied drums for a short time with their drummer Sherman Ferguson. I was always intrigued with Odean's circular breathing technique.
