I believe that the BG #1 is around $710 including FedEx shipping to you.
This does not include local taxes and when we buy in the US, we get a bill from FedEx for an additional $ 60.00.

worth every penny!
The DAV electronics Broadhurst Gardens range of mic amps are the best mic amps in the world.
710$ including shipping to the US ...

And then look what typically happens over here. A damn German company apparently and typically grabs the right to exclusively sell them here and puts a price tag of 770,00 € on it.

That makes a mere $ 266,00 difference with yet national shipping costs to come on top.

How I hate these mofoing, wedging and bending-over business methods.

At least one can still order directly from England; at least I hope so.

you have always been able to order direct...I find it silly that people do otherwise.

Deal with Mick!

I hope it will be.
Usually sole agency conditions forbid that you order directly from the manufacturer, but I have the feeling that Mick set up the contract so that customers from here can still order from him.
I send him mail already.

Hi Teddy,

I see, thanks for the info!
Guess I missed out on a good deal. ;O(

Somehow messages for me within GS and to my E-mail account are messed up long since anyway. Your PM didn´t come in, and most automatic e-mails to my account don´t get send out either ( or don´t get received; dunno ).

Maybe the big internet control is slowly setting in.
After all it´s been worked on it since many years.

Ruphus

PS: To any of my GS friends who might read this: If you eventually don´t receive reply to PMs know that this would not be my style. Try to point it out to me over the board if necessary.

Whatever you do, dont use the 103 on acoustic, no matter what pre.....that mic should cost 49 dollars (US). I had one, and even with the Hardy, it sounded terrible on acoustic.

I think its neat that you can hammer a nail with it, but that doesnt make it sound good!

If the BG-1 doesn't do it for you, you're looking at about another $500.00 to get anything better and most of those are single channel pres.

you can use a DI box to plug electric guitars and basses as the BG1 has no DI input.
it works perfectly well, although don't expect it to blow your socks off.

Mick's also making a rack version (the BG1u) with it's own DI input.

only £599...
