Where is my gig camera when i need it?

Just finished a week of live dates here in KC with a bunch of diff bands.. last night, a good friend of mine played, and I was bummed not to get a shot of his on stage setup... mixed his own headphones and had a setup of mandolin,. highstrung Acoustic, regular strung acoustic, keys, sampler, a Radar playing more loops and samples, a bunch of misc perc and harps, etc... A EV RE27 for his vocal, and then the Gearslutting began.. his other rack had an old AMpex stereo tube limiter, a pair of Neve 1081's, two distressors, a Pendulum Audio Vari-MU.. then there was the other players.. Holy Shit the sounds were killer before then even came to me.. really fun to mix, reminded me why I do this..

As a side note, the material and musicianship are killer as well, this guy is one of my fav artists, so that helps :)

Great time, thought I would tell yall...

That is the pisser, no... the big reason being he did not have his full band with him. I am recording him in January live though, band included. ( this is the gig I spoke to you about... I should know more soon...)

We did track his vocal, acoustic, loops and some crowd mics back into his Radar for some " group" vox to be used on his new record though ( 4000 people should constitute a "group", no?)

:)
