Talking Stage box...

I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out here. Since alot of you are location/live recording pros, I was hoping someone might have knowledge that I'm not privy to being in the studio all the time.

I need to buy a stage box. We need to have a panel that clients can plug there own gear into then run the to another TT patchbay we're going to set besides the SSL patchbay. So I was wondering if anyone knew where I can buy an empty stage box with 24 holes cut into it for XLR connection. Now, it would be okay if they had XLR's already in it, but I would prefer empty.

So does anyone know where I can allocate one, used or new. Thanks a bunch!

There are many ways you can skin that cat...

If you have available rack space you can build a UCP panel with all sorts of connectors. We have many of these panels in stock.

You could also build a panel with multi pins that go to an XLR fanout that interconnects to the various equipment. All my setups have both options, multipin and XLR connectors.

The box idea is cool too. We have everything you could ever want for that sort of thing.

For your review...

I hope this helped.

Do you really want the snake/box? Or do you really want a 1RU or 2RU panel wired into your TT patchbay? I prefer a custom panel in the wall running to the bay as tie lines, personally... Redco, Whirlwind, Wireworks, a LOT of people can supply you the bare box OR a wall panel.

See, the box is ideal because the gear that needs to be hooked up is stacked above our racked gear and we want to put the box behind the rack and just run XLRs to and from the box.

Thanks Jim, I'll check there, but I'd like to help a fellow Slut out. Can you help me remoteness?

Sure thing, we have stuff in stock and can also drop ship from the manufacture if necessary.

How many channels of I/O are you looking for?

24 'holes' drilled for Neutrik XLR connectors. I think it's Neutrik "P" sytle connector, but I'll have to double check when I go into the office tomorrow.

Thanks a bunch!

So, would that be split into 12 female and 12 male XLRs or all female or all male?
