Question Best Pickup for Concertina sized Acoustic

I'm playing on a Seagull S-Series Grand ( http://www.seagullguitars.com/productgrand.htm ) and am having a pickup problem - a wayward microphone stand blasted my last (admittedly not ideal) pickup into several pieces. So I guess it's less of a problem and more of an absence. Anyway.

I'm looking for a new pickup. I've *never* found any pickup that has sounded terribly realistic, but figured the fine minds of Gearslutz could help a brother out. Any thoughts?

Many thanks -
K. Rosemont

No pickup captures the acoustic guitars true sound. But that being said, I use RMC pickups in my nylon and steel string acoustics. A little pricey, but perfectly balanced. Worth the money IMHO.

All Gearslutz should spend an hour or so at Doug Young's acoustic guitar pickup website. It has .mp3s of 60 different examples of pickups and pickup combinations. While not perfect, it is simply the most comprehensive collection of pickup samples. Each recording also has a "control" sample of the same performance using a pair of TLM103s. Virtually all of the modern (and many vintage) pickups are avaialble at the site.

For gigging I use a triple sourced system with a PUTW #54, (SBT), Baggs M-1 (mag) and a Joe Mills internal mic (or external mic whenever possible).
