new high end mini-mixers for AES?

Anybody have any info on the new mixers from Geoff Tanner at Aurora Audio or the one from Forsell? Has the Purple Audio mixer moved beyond the "master" section shown on the website? Any others that we should be looking out for? Or should we quit playing with little toys and all place orders for the new full size, surround-ready console from API, the Vision?

Hi

I won't give too much away because I want socks to be blown off when all is revealed re my mini-mixer...

but...

I can confirm that much arm twisting has been performed on me by prospective buyers and the beastie does have an independent pre-fade stereo cue mix as well as all the other toys!

Hi

Sadly, I can't get it ready for the AES because I have other products ahead of it. I'm hoping that it will be released early 2004.

That's cool, I can wait.

By the way, will it be loosely based on your 33609 design or something different?

And a final plug for maybe a new stereo EQ(doen't have to have a mic pre either).

Hi

It's something completely different... the Neve circuits can never be as quiet as one would like because the input signal is attenuated to below -40dBu before hitting the diode bridge that acts as the voltage controlled element.

So we are approaching this from another direction...

The EQ is a early 2004 also.
