Question OKM - Soundman mic windshields

I have a pair of OKM's I bought in '02. They work just fine. Rumo(u)r has it they are Sennheiser mics. But! the foam shields which cover them have deteriorated and are in shreds. I have tried repeatedly to get a response from OKM about new covers but have never even gotten an answer. All my e-mails are unanswered.

So, is their another OKM owner on the board who has had the same problem and found a solution? Share it, please.

Hey, you get all the luck! Funny, you got three spare foams and I cannot even get them to respond to an e-mail. Is it my breath?? I have the DPA foam for the 4006 TL's and will try that. Yes, they also work well as boundary layer mics. They are good mics and paired with a SONY MZ-RH1 they make a formidable pocket-sized recording setup. I took it to Mexico last year and it did well, binaural and stereo, in-ear and boundary layer.

Thanks for the heads-up, Roger. "Hands across the water."

Cheers; time for a cuppa here.

Sanken has a new line of 'Bubblebee" wind blockers using a new technology. They come in multiple sizes and sell for $34.
