Thread Starter | B&O ribbon
Hi - I have been hanging around here for a while. I thought it was about time I registered and made some sought of contribution. I have a chance to buy a referbished B&O stereo ribbon mic. I have been drooling over the royer stereo mic for ages but cant quite bring myself to part with that much cash. The 30 - 40 yr old B&O is about 1/2 the price of a new royer. I allready have 2 STC 4038s which I love setting up as crossed fig 8s, but they are a complete pain to safely fly from a concert hall roof so this is the obvious attraction of a single point stereo ribbon. I am expecting that I will need a bit more mic amp grunt than with my 4038s. Am I asking for trouble if I get the B&O? I know the connectors are hard to get hold of. Should I just wait another 6 months and get a royer....??? Thanks GK |

You will no be disapointed with the B&Os. Trust me they are super mics. If you dont buy it, please pass the details on to me as I would love another one.
