Question Laptop stage stand

I need a firm stand probably with a tray for a firewire sound card (hooked to laptop). My Internet quest resulted in poor options. Does anyone perform with a laptop, what can you recommend me? Thanks!

Have you considered going to the local Ironworks facility and have them make up a sweet looking stand for you. We have some stands that look like a "Z." They work real well for laptops. We use them in the control room for the client’s laptops when necessary.

I went with this company's heavy duty stand.

Ihelped a client dismantle his old ADAT studio and he gave me the BRC stand - a simple board across it holds my Powerbook perferctly...

Something like this.

Hello,

These stands clamp onto a table and can be titlted.

Is that the kind of stand your looking for?

Are these certain brands - I mean "BRC" and "Staples"?

If I could fasten it to a tripod or smth like this - it would be great. But it must be clamped to a table only, right?

BRC is the acronym for Alesis' Big Remote Controller for their ADAT...
He modified the BRC stand so he can use it for his laptop.

Staples is a large stationary chain in the USA -- They sell everything from office furniture to staples.

I don’t know where you can get what Andrew suggested since he didn't provide a link but,

Dale’s link seems to be the best option since you're looking for a tripod style stand.

insTand

I hope I helped.

Has anyone dealt with Cyberlegs?
http://www.laptoptravel.com/Product.aspx?ID=2391 (I don't like the way laptop fastenes to the tripod by "four hook and loop pads")
Also I found not so portable but really sturdy stand

Ok, at last bought this one

Really cool. I spent just $70. Will ask my sister to make a bag for it (I mean for its disassambled parts) and I'll be happy!

I just bought Prism Sound Orpheus through Sound Tools in UK 3 weeks ago and still waiting for the rest 250£ and receipt.

How pro is that?

Avoid dealing with this guy Andrew Kinsey.
