Thread Starter | Hello, I am looking at the Midas Venice 160 for live and studio recording. What are some other mixers with similar routing options? Any amazing broadcast style or hidden gems you like? Rackmountable would be a plus and must have mic pre amps. For this thread, we can pretend there is no money limit, but I will most likely stay at the Venice's price point. |

| Bang for buck the Venice 160 is a very cool rackmountable mixer. We have two of the Venice 320s. We use them as monitor mixers for our recordings but we have used the mic pres with good results. If you can still find them... The rackmounted Hill Multimix mic/line is an awesome mixer. I still have one. I was going to sell it awhile back but, realized it would have been a very bad idea since there are not too many inexpensive mixers that can do what the Multimix can do. I've seen them go for pretty cheap these days but, it wasn't cheap when we got ours in the early 80s. I've seen them on eBay and other online "for sale" places. The Multimix has 16 decent mic pres with 3 band EQ. Each channel has a direct out with 4, 2 and mono bus outputs and at least two aux sends. I don't remember if there were more aux sends -- I should take a look at the sucker. Like I said, we have one of these puppies. I bought a second one on eBay to use for parts. I believe there are a few threads about mic mixers on this forum but, feel free to add to this one folks...
