Talking Device that only does delay?

I have been running sound in a church for a while and our setup is lacking proper alignment delay. I really just want a single, simple, affordable device that has some ins, outs, and a knob to set delay time. However, I'm not finding anything like this.
The cheapest solution I found is a dbx drive rack PA+ but its delay only goes to 15ms or something like that, and I need it to be more in the 50ms range.
Any ideas?

Excellent, since I'd need 2 of the "cheaper one" the Rane might be the cheaper option anyway.

Check out the Peavey VSX-26.

Peavey :: VSX™ 26

I've used these upon occasion in church installations, and it's a pretty flexible and capable piece.

We've been running Behringer HA8000s for about six years, driving our wired IEM systems in two rooms at church... and I have one racked for location gigs. Other than occasional 60Hz buzz (usually killed by a ground lift) we've had zero problems. The circuits in the DSP110 SHARK have been around for years, and if the B-boyz are good at anything, it's "reverse engineering". Seems like $90 isn't much of a gamble, especially with the Sabine that "inspired" it (Sabine FBX SOLO SM 820 Feedback Exterminator | Full Compass) selling for $300. Personally, I'd buy the Sabine. But, then, with a couple of FBX2020s and a Graphi-Q residing in my location racks, it would be redundant.

(EDIT) This Sabine doesn't do delay. The Sabine SDA102 was what I thought I had used... similar form factor... but it's discontinued. Looks like the only Sabine products with delay are the Graphi-Q2 and the Navigator... both pricey.

We bought the HA8000s 'cause we were a start-up church plant and were experimenting to see if we could make a wired IEM system work in our situation (and there was nothing else out there that did precisely what it did). It did work, well, hasn't failed, and will likely be replaced when and if it fails with a TASCAM distro, or we might ditch our MixWiz 12M and go to a StudioLive 24.4.2 with a bunch of iPads for wireless Aux mix controllers when we get that far. Until then, no problems.

That looks quite a bit like the DBX DriveRack, and according to the manual goes to 340msec.

Looking for an alignment delay, not a delay effect.

It'll do 340msec delay on an input, and also do 340msec on each output for a total of 680msec.

That would compensate for 760 feet... (340msec is about 379 feet) If it's a church bigger than that, then they probably have enough in the budget for a more expensive box.

Just curious if anyone's using delays out at gigs to delay the spots to the mains?

I've often used the delay circuit on the Sabine Graphi-Q in larger halls (1000+ seats, long room) for the "back of the room" speakers. Works as advertised.

Ooops, again... just saw "delay the spots to MAINS"... never done that...

I wonder ...

At what distance between the spots and mains is an adjustment for time needed? I would think at some (shorter) distance, a delay - even if done in the DAW - would not be needed because the mics would be "close enough".

Is that a single-channel delay? One XLR in and one XLR out?

I don't know anything about the sound of that one but it looks to be about the nicest current option without getting into the really big bucks.

You can try the Hall Research AD-340 Universal Audio Delay Processor. It is a simple unit that can add delay to analog stereo as well as multi-channel bitstream digital signals. Also has USB port for some advanced settings if you need.
