Sometimes I ask myself if building groups is a good idea.
Couldn"t we all help each other out and communicate as individuals instead of using us/we?

I think it would be enough to point the badly informed individual to he fact that he is not well informed. Not make fools out of people who are sometimes just not experienced enough and who maybe just need more time to get it right.

I think that brotherhoods are more of a high-school/college or a soccer-fans thing.

Dude!
Got tired of the "fake authority" posts and the myth garbage propagation. It's as simple as that. Will we continue to grant fake consensus to the posters who go off without any basis in real usage of the gear?

What if someone took that song, "Where Have All the Flowers Gone," and re-worked the lyrics into a modern-day parable... kind of a back-and-forth banter of the cliche's and presupposition's that Hudson's talking about...

It would have that "when-you-got-back-to-the-beginning-you-realize-the-delusions" kind of effect, and as long as there was no mention of cheap Chinese mics, I wouldn't even be afraid to post in the thread.

But that is GS at the moment.

I still maintain that if everyone had to have our real names associated with the post we write a lot of the problems you are describing would come to an end since the person would be "outed" and others could see who they really were.

There are too many 13 year old posters masquerading as pros here on GS and the "Anonymity Factor" just contributes to the problem.

If you want to see a well run forum with very little BS then go see Brad Blackwood's forum on PSW

Hmmm I would say that those facts are controlled by GS users who are also merchants for the Gear they rave about and defend to the death. Its a protection system. And yeah becuase you have mentioned that I am Garbage in a private email to me that just means that you are in this boys club aswell. This type of action only leads me to beleive that these facts are extreme forms of political and financial self affliction. This type of damnation all because I said that Sadie/Prism is no better than Motu/RME etc is typical of people who own or sell or have mates that sell this gear as a defence. Readers please see below the message that Plush sent me:

"Dear Garbage,

You are one of the most ignorant posters ever on GS. You are an offensive manchild who cannot spell, does not know grammer and you act like a toilet man.

I have reported your posts in the SADiE thread to the moderators and I know that they will take action against you. If you continue to insult us, we will have you banned from GS.

You are a real menace and You have been flagged.

Plush"
