I can't even believe anyone questions Prince's skills as a musician, especially other musicians. Any other aspect of his music career (e.g., public persona, corporate identification, choice in mascara, etc.) is up for grabs, but his playing is impeccable and unimpeachable. Whether or not he comparable to Hendrix or Vai: Who cares? Great is great is great. I agree with most folk here: His first tune on SNL was great. The second was -- let's say less-than-exciting. |
