John, do you mean £1600 with or without VAT? If that includes VAT then its a significant price drop.

I have just received the new 2011 price list - the LB is now £1,699 +VAT, I'm afraid.

The Edirol R-44 has a high user-satisfaction factor - just ignore two of the channels, or have them ready for that time when the rule of channels bites you (the number of channels required for the job is invariably one more than the number of channels available).
