Thread Starter | Please Note: I few Remotesters have asked me to show them pictures of my ELCO harnesses or how I Wye my multi-track recorders in posts, PMs and emails, so I figured I'd copy over this post and the responses from the What's on your digital camera? thread I have up as a sticky. Here are a couple of pictures of the custom cable harness I designed for TBM's portable mini patch bay. They have 2 built in ELCO90 (dual 24 channel) Wye cords and additional 8 channels of inline XLRs for whatever you want to patch to/from the patch bay. That's a 48 channel Wye cord plus 8 (4 male; 4 female) XLRs all in one cable harness. It keeps our cable jungle clean and organized. Very important note: We hired a professional photographer to take pictures of our cables and wires, but she missed her flight out of Los Angeles, so Elco Heveron-Smith ended up taking the the pictures himself. He also was responsible for wiring this wild and crazy looking harness. It's such a pity we did not capture the visual properly.

Yeah, that cable loom is indeed a doozy. We didn't have enough time to wait for delivery of any Kleem grips because we were a day or so away from using the new harness on TBM. I wish I could have given you a more clever answer, but sometimes you have to weight out the options and go for what's better for that moment. |
