Hey guys, I'm looking for someone who is really sharp on the PM1D. Software version is 1.7. I'm assisting with load in and tech of a musical that contains roughly 50 console scenes. The engineer is working in selective recall. The problem is that he incorrectly saved a scene with selective recall enabled and everything recall safed. Now when we reload the scene, everything is safed and it won't recall the information we needed. Is there any function that would allow me to recall the previous information like you can on the DM2000. I think this is in the "shadow memory" of the DM2000, and I'm afraid there is nothing like this for the PM1D. Anyway, if someone has the foggiest idea what I'm talking about, I'll be glad to give more details. I just don't want to write a novel until I find someone to chat with. Conversely, I'm obviously not a PM1D scholar, but I do have a similar show coming up. If anyone has a better way to work I would love to gain some knowledge. Thanks, Jake |

I realize that this forum is for remote recording and maybe not suited to this type of question, but if anyone knows someone and could put me in contact with them I would appreciate it greatly. Jake |

Jake, post this over on the PSW Live Audio Board, I promise someone there will be able to help you out. http://srforums.prosoundweb.com/index.php/f/2/0 And yes, download the manual. on my laptop I have a PDF manual for every medium and large format console in common use in Melbourne. Laptop comes to all my major gigs anyway, and the manuals have been handy more than once.

Thanks for the link. I do have the manuals. I can't find anything in the PM1D manuals that resembles the feature in the DM2000. I'm just kind of reaching to see if there is some sort of workaround. We rebuilt the scened and moved on. I just want to try to find out for future reference. Jake |

Welcome to the world of PM1D. The software allows operators to do stupid things. Sorry you got stuck dealing with one. There is NO easy solution to stupidity, either from the operator or manufacturer's position. But you did the only thing you can do: recall it, rebuild it, and re-save it. Re-save OFTEN on multiple pieces of media. Our rule is to save FIVE copies of every version of a show. That allows for serious rebuild at a later date. JvB |

Thank you Jim. I was afraid of that. I was just holding out hope that someone had a voodoo workaround. Live and learn. It's such a great system in some areas, and such a PITA in others. Jake |
